Tree of Life


        As a quick watercolor project, I drew a version of this picture:
Here it is:
        The drawing itself is more cheerful, but, because of the unfortunate lighting, I could not capture it properly in the photo. I did not make it as whitewashed, as a like more stable colors in watercolor paintings. I used a variety of colors, including many blues, purples, pinks, greens, yellows, oranges, browns, and even black. Still, this is definetly one of my favorites.

How I Draw: Brown Hair

        In this How I Draw, I will explain the wizardry of hair. Hair, along with the face, is the most essential part of a portrait. Getting the right feel and depth is very precarious to do, but it isn't impossible. I will be showing the four basic hair colors in four posts.          This post will be for the most simplest of them all: brown hair. I know there are many shades of brown hair, but this will be for dark brown hair. A Surprise for Tanisha!

        This canvas is a Christmas gift for my cousin Tanisha. I asked her questions, and used her favorite animal (unicorns) and her favorite colors (pink and purple) to create an acrylic canvas.          This picture depicts the silhouette of a unicorn rearing up. The spirals of her horn and her hooves are highlighted with silver acrylic, whereas the ground and the unicorn itself is black. The sky is a sunset, with the pink sky blending up to purple. I used white acrylic to create three four-point stars on top of her horn. I used a fan brush to create grass for the ground. Due to lighting, the horn and the stars are not clearly visible. I will get a better picture.
